According to Webster’s dictionary, the essential meaning of hope is “to want something to happen or be true and think that it could happen or be true.” Aren’t there so many things in motherhood that we want to be true? So many things we want to happen?
We want rest. We want to be noticed for the effort we put in. We want our children to grow up to be good humans. We want them to know they are seen, known, and loved. We want to be seen, known, and loved ourselves.
But there are so many moments when even these simple, yet significant, desires feel unreachable and unattainable.
That, my friend, is why we hold onto hope, and why we hold onto each other.
It is one of my desires to give you practical advice and tips specifically for the early stages of motherhood. But more than that, my greatest desire is for you to know you are not alone on this journey, and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
Whether you’re a first time mom or you’re in the trenches of postpartum for the third time, if you’ve ever felt weary and alone in motherhood, join me on this journey of finding hope in the everyday moments.
